ICE TAPE® is used in the equestrian community with
great success! Provided in a 3 inch x 96 inch roll, EQUINE
ICE TAPE® helps in the augmentation of exercise programs,
treats sprains and strains, needs NO refrigeration, and is cost
effective as it is reusable many times. COMMON USES • Cold Therapy is most commonly used as an aid in the reduction of inflammation in arthritic joints, soft tissue, tendons and ligaments. • Cold Therapy is also used during exercise and post-exercise as a preventative measure. WHY IS EQUINE ICE TAPE® SUCH A SUCCESS? CONVENIENCE • Application is similar to a Polo Wrap. • Will self adhere with a little hand pressure, and therefore, will not fall off under normal conditions. • Is less time consuming than conventional methods, as it is not necessary to restrain the horse for treatment. [This should not be considered as a universal representation, as horses may rarely tend to chew their wraps]. COST EFFECTIVENESS • Since ICE TAPE® is REUSABLE MANY TIMES OVER, it is EXTREMELY COST-EFFECTIVE. With proper care it can be used indefinitely. LABOR SAVING • For post-exercise cooling, simple water spraying of the ICE TAPE® wrapped legs every 1⁄2 hour or so, is a LABOR SAVING feature. ICE TAPE® VS. CONVENTIONAL METHODS • ICE TAPE® will COOL AN AREA as it PROVIDES SUPPORT. This is significant for injuries to the leg, because the degree of support can be customized as the wrap is applied. • Since ICE TAPE® is flexible and conforming, it will not cause undesirable pressure that occurs from ice cube boots and stiff refrigerated freezer packs. |
